National Day of Truth commemorated

Dis benedicaris vos.

The State of Sandus commemorated the National Day of Truth today, marking the fifth anniversary since the beginning of the fictional Sandum Civil War. The following message was published on the State of Sandus Facebook page:

Today is the fifth anniversary of the “beginning” of the Sandum Civil War in 2009, an entirely fabricated event. This day is known on the Sandum calendar as the National Day of Truth.

Sandus has come a long way since 15 November 2009: we have achieved for ourselves Realism, the strenuous application of micropatriology onto the work of the Sandum State! The running of our government is not predicated on the enjoyment of the citizens of our State or on one man, but is based on the fundamental philosophy of the Sandum nation — a philosophy based on the tenets of compassion for all, collective action and collective work, and the pluralism and diversity of thought within our State.

Happy National Day of Truth — not a national day of mourning, but a day of remembering that truth, micropatriology, and Realism are a fundamental feature of the State of Sandus!

Veritas is the goddess of Truth in the Roman pantheon, and gives us the name of our national newspaper: "Veritum Sandus", 'the Truth of Sandus'.

Iustitia, also known as Justitia, is the goddess of Justice in the Roman pantheon. As Justice is predicated on truth (Veritas), Iustitia is as important as Veritas on the National Day of Truth.
